Terms of Use

These terms cover the Shiftwheel iOS app, made by OrchardSkyDigital. Using the app means you accept them. Shiftwheel is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's standard licensed-application terms apply as well.
1. The service
Shiftwheel is a free schedule and pay calendar for rotating shift workers. The optional AI assistant includes a free monthly usage quota, which may change. Features may be added, changed, or retired; anything that changes what the app sends off your phone ships with an updated privacy policy.
2. Your content
Your schedule, overrides, and pay settings are yours and stay on your device. Roster photos you scan with the assistant are processed to answer your request and are not stored by our relay. You are responsible for having the right to scan any roster you submit.
3. Pay figures are estimates
Hours, overtime, and earnings shown in Shiftwheel are calculated from the settings you enter. They are estimates for personal planning, not a payroll record. Always verify pay against your employer's payroll records. Shiftwheel is not financial, legal, or tax advice.
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the assistant or its relay (for example, automated bulk requests or attempts to bypass the quota), and don't use the app to infringe anyone else's rights. We may suspend assistant access for abuse; the offline schedule core is unaffected by any such suspension.
5. Warranty disclaimer
Shiftwheel is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or that the assistant's answers will be accurate.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, OrchardSkyDigital is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including missed shifts or pay discrepancies. Verify your schedule and pay against your employer's records.
7. Termination
You can stop using Shiftwheel at any time by deleting the app, which deletes your data. We may suspend assistant access as described under acceptable use.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version ships with an app update and the effective date above moves.
