Terms of Use

1. The short version

• Yield writes prayers for you to pray. It is not counselling, medical care, or an emergency service, and it is not a substitute for any of them.
• Yield+ is an auto-renewing subscription bought through Apple, and you cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
• Your prayers are yours. We do not read them, share them, or use them to train anything.

2. The service

Yield takes what you write about your situation and writes a prayer from it, day by day, along a journey you choose. Using the app means you accept these terms.

3. Yield is not counsel, care, or an emergency service

This is the part worth reading twice. A prayer from Yield is not advice, not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not treatment. It does not speak for God and it does not promise any outcome.

If you are in danger, or thinking of harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line. Yield shows you those numbers when it recognises what you have written, but it is software and it will not always recognise it. Do not rely on it to.

4. Your account

An anonymous account is created for you when you first open Yield, and you may attach Apple, Google, or an email address to it later. You are responsible for the account you attach, and for what is written from your device.

5. Subscription

Yield works without paying. Yield+ adds more than one journey at a time and more than one prayer a day.

Yield+ is charged to your Apple Account and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

If a subscription lapses, nothing you have already written is removed, hidden, or locked. You keep every journey and every prayer you have; you simply cannot start another journey or ask for a second prayer in a day until you subscribe again.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Yield to try to produce content that harms someone, and do not attempt to interfere with the service or use it beyond ordinary personal use. We may decline to generate a prayer where doing so would be unsafe.

7. Scripture

Scripture in Yield is quoted from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain, and is verified against a stored copy before it is shown to you.

8. Your prayers, and ours

What you write stays yours. The app itself, its design, and its wording remain ours.

9. Warranty disclaimer

Yield is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that a prayer will be generated when you ask for one, or that its wording will suit your situation.

Prayers are produced automatically. Read them as words offered to you, not as instruction.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, OrchardSkyDigital is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including any decision taken in reliance on a prayer or on anything the app has shown you.

Your prayers are stored only on your device and are not backed up by us. Keeping your device and its backups safe is yours to do.

11. Termination

You can stop using Yield at any time, and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend access where these terms are broken.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page changes with it, and the effective date above changes too.
